OMEGA - Luxury watches
In Omega’s portfolio we find some of the most famous luxury watches ever. One of these is the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch which, in the summer of 1969, was on the wrist of astronauts during the first mission to the Moon.
Amateur and professional divers, on the other hand, have been choosing models from the Seamaster collection for almost 60 years, Omega has presented a new edition of the Seamaster Diver 300M much appreciated by enthusiasts.
Omega produces also more classic and elegant timepieces, such as De Ville, Constellation and Globemaster collections, made precious with gold inserts, in the case rather than in the closure, which makes them real jewels.

The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most famous and popular models in the luxury watch industry. Its history, as its name also indicates, is inextricably linked to the moon and for this reason it is incredibly fascinating.
The Speedmaster is in fact the reference watch of NASA, which has chosen this model to accompany its astronauts during their first expeditions to the moon. The beginning of the collaboration dates back to 1957. However, it was in 1962 that the first real consecration took place; that year, in fact, the Speedmaster was tested by Walter Schirra on the occasion of his adventures.
The mission undertaken by Apollo 11 represents the second iconic moment in the history of the Omega Speedmaster. July 20, 1969 is a date that no one can forget, it is in fact the day when the first man set foot on the moon. The two protagonists, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, wore a Speedmaster and from that moment the legend of the Moonwatch was born.
The third historical moment that made the Speedmaster Moonwatch a unique watch in the world is dated April 11, 1970. On this occasion, the NASA mission called Apollo 13, which was supposed to bring man to the moon for the third time in history. . As many of you may know, a breakdown occurred that forced astronauts to make a complicated return to Earth. It was therefore necessary to correct the trajectory through the use of the engine of the lunar module for a certain number of seconds. An error in timing would have had fatal lives but the Speedmaster supplied to one of the three crew members proved to be extremely accurate and the operation succeeded perfectly.
Today the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch continues to maintain its leadership as a watch inspired by the Moon and Omega, in 2021, revisited this with current innovations but without sacrificing its strengths. The new design is inspired by what characterized the watches worn by the Apollo 11 astronauts.
